| Bio: | I'm horrid at these bio things. But to give you a quick synopsis of my journal I mostly post about sports (specifically ND football), reading/ book reviews and Harry Potter. Onto a few more details: Fanfic. I like it. I like reading it. I've written a few one-shots and hope to write more in the future. My OTP = Leather & Libraries (Draco/Hermione); but I also ship Dungbombs & S.P.E.W. (George/Hermione), SS Pyro Studies (Charlie/Hermione), and WIKTT (Severus/Hermione). However, I will read most anything. If something ticks me off about a fic, I just stop reading it -- not decide I don't like that ship or even that author. My favorite characters are Hermione, Snape, Draco, George and Charlie. I have a fondness for the Marauders too. I post reviews for many (but no where near all) of the books I read. This is mostly for my benefit, so I can look back at my thoughts on what I read. But I'm happy when people discuss their thoughts on the books too (if you have read them, want to, know about the topic, etc.) I'm also obsessed with Star Wars, but don't really mention it much on here. I don't read SW fic at all, so I'm unlikely to post unless it has some affect on my RL. Who knows what the future will bring. Although I do have an advanced degree, my grammar has never been as good as it should be. I know this. Among other problems, I vastly overuse ellipses and dashes. I misuse commas on a regular basis. I am trying to improve, but as I don't have a beta reader for my regular journal entries and comments - you will all just live with it. I promise not to publish fic without having them proofed by someone much better with grammar than myself! I've made a few icons, but most are credited in the keywords for those icons. Thanks to everyone who I've nabbed them from. Snaps to you! I have a BA in History & Political Science (minor: Gender Studies) and an MA in International Politics. I work in the IP field now. I intend on going back for a PhD in History someday (once I get my finances and life in order) but am continually seduced by Political Theory. I know I ask the questions of material that Historians ask and that I'm much better suited as a History person, but damn that Political Theory is fascinating. I'm going to have to find a way to combine the two as my 'minor' concentration for my PhD. My life is rated R. For the record, if this goes inactive, I also am online at the following sites.
